Recommended Cabling

Topology – Guardian keypads can be run in any topology, including daisy chained, home run or star

Data cable: Up to 2500’ - 18 gauge, 2 conductor, stranded wire with overall shielding
Power cable: 18 gauge, 2 conductor, stranded wire. Runs should be less than 150' from the power source
Relay: 18 gauge, 2 conductor, stranded wire.
Bypass switch (optional): 18 gauge, 2 conductor, stranded wire.
Pinhole Camera Data: RG-59 coax cable for data up to 750'. RG-6 for longer runs.
Pinhole Camera Power: 18 gauge, 2 conductor, stranded wire. Runs should be less than 150' from the power source.

Do not combine power for the keypad and camera. These should always be run from separate power supplies or channels on a power panel.
